A taste of Europe in the heart of Halifax. Authentic ingredients, ready-to-eat meals, and everyday staples rooted in tradition, made for modern life.

Béchamel is one of those foundational sauces that elevates everything it touches, you may recognize it from our house-made moussaka, available and ready-to-eat, available, and made fresh daily.

All you need is:
Butter
Flour
Milk (warm, ideally)
Salt, nutmeg, white pepper (optional)

Melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk while stirring until smooth and thickened. Season to taste. That’s it.

You’ll need:

Spaghetti or bucatini
Freshly ground black pepper
Pecorino Romano cheese

The first in our KISS Pro Tip Series (Keep It Simple, Sweetheart). This is a true classic recipe. 

Ignore the internet and all the Greek salad dressings with a thousand ingredients. Dress your next Greek salad with this simple, go-to Greek vinaigrette. No emulsifiers, no fuss.

It’s easy, clean, and adaptable:
🥗 3-4 parts olive oil (you can blend with high-oleic sunflower or other light-tasting oil)
🥗 1 part red wine vinegar
🥗 Pinch of dried oregano, if you like
🥗 Pinch of salt

Shake vigorously to emulsify. Drizzle, and enjoy with cucumber, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, and feta. Throw in some crisp lettuce if you'd like.
